Next year, the application of advanced security materials of NANOBRICK in China is expected to begin in earnest.

 

NANOBRICK (KOSDAQ: 286750, CEO Jae-Hyun Joo), a company specializing in new functional materials, announced that its high-tech security printing products will be exhibited through a subsidiary of the China Mint Corporation at the ‘SDS 2019 (Security Document Summit 2019)’ exhibition, which will be held in Beijing, China for two days from December 10th to the 11th.

 

The SDS 2019 exhibition is attended by a large number of global security companies including China Mint Corporation, DE LA RUE and KURZ, shares the latest trends in advanced security technology mainly in China and Asia, and Passports, ID cards, tax payment certificates, and other high-tech security printing products are on display.

 

In August last year, NANOBRICK has signed a strategic alliance contract with China Minting Ink Corporation, which oversees key security materials for the China Minting Corporation, and is jointly promoting the application of its security materials to anti-counterfeiting packaging in China, various certificates issued by the Chinese government, and Chinese yuan.

Accordingly, in November, at the ‘2019 Beijing International Money Fair’, a commemorative currency high-tech security print was exhibited through a subsidiary of the China Minting Corporation.

 

In this exhibition, in addition to the anti-counterfeiting and genuine certification security labels that have been jointly promoted with China Banknote Ink, Anti-counterfeiting packaging for Chinese cigarettes applied of our own security materials with Technical Center of China Banknote and Minting Corporation and prototypes of high-tech security prints from the Chinese government will be exhibited together.

 

An official from Nano Brick said, “Advanced Security Materials of NANOBRICK have obtained official anti-counterfeiting new technology certification from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security in October. In the future, we are pursuing full-scale promotions for genuine product certification led by the Chinese government and various certification documents issued by them; ID cards, tax certificates, and yuan.

 

In particular, at this exhibition, a prototype cigarette packaging applied our security material will be presented, establishing a bridgehead to advance into the tobacco packaging market, China’s largest anti-counterfeiting market in the future.”

Meanwhile, according to a relevant research institute, the anti-counterfeiting packaging market will grow at an annual average of 13.41% from $82.05 billion in 2015 to $153.95 billion in 2020, and the Asian anti-counterfeiting packaging market will grow from $10.6 billion in 2015 to $25.93 billion in 2020 with an annual average growth rate of 19.58%. In addition, the global tobacco market is about $700 billion in 2017, of which the Chinese cigarette market, with the largest market share, is reported to consume $212.3 billion on 236.9 billion cigarettes per year.
